Refund & Cancellation Policy
Transparent refund terms for all Vande Digital Academy courses and programs.
Our Commitment: We believe in fair, transparent refund terms. This policy is designed to protect both students and the Academy. Please read it before enrolling — your enrollment constitutes acceptance of these terms.
Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all purchases made on academy.vandedigital.com operated by Vande Digital, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India.
Refund eligibility varies by course type — self-paced online courses, live batch programs, and workshops each have distinct conditions as detailed in the sections below.
All refund requests are subject to verification and are processed at the sole discretion of Vande Digital Academy based on the criteria set out in this policy.
Self-Paced Online Courses
For pre-recorded, self-paced online courses (Video Editing Course, Digital Marketing Course):
- Full refund is available if requested within 7 calendar days of the date of purchase, provided that less than 20% of the course content has been accessed or viewed.
- If more than 20% of the course content has been accessed, no refund will be issued regardless of the time elapsed since purchase.
- Access percentage is determined by our platform's content tracking data, which is the definitive record.
- After 7 calendar days from purchase, no refund will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to: change of mind, lack of time, or dissatisfaction with content quality.
How access is measured: Each lesson, video, or module you open counts toward your access percentage. Simply enrolling and opening the course dashboard counts as accessing content. We recommend reviewing the free preview content available before purchasing.
Live Batch Programs
For instructor-led live batch programs:
- Full refund is available if cancellation is requested at least 48 hours before the batch start date and no session has been attended.
- No refund once the batch has commenced, regardless of the number of sessions attended or remaining.
- Batch transfer: In lieu of a refund, you may request a one-time transfer to the next available batch of the same course, provided the request is made before the third session of your current batch. Batch transfers are subject to availability and may only be availed once per enrollment.
- If you miss sessions due to personal reasons, recordings (where available) may be shared at the Academy's discretion. Missed sessions do not entitle you to a refund or fee reduction.
Workshops & Short Programs
For one-time workshops or short-duration programs (less than 4 weeks):
- Full refund if cancellation is requested at least 72 hours before the workshop start time.
- No refund for cancellations received within 72 hours of the workshop start time.
- No refund for no-shows or partial attendance.
- In exceptional circumstances (e.g. medical emergency with documentation), we may offer a credit note or transfer at our discretion.
Non-Refundable Items
The following are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances:
- Course fees where more than 20% of online course content has been accessed
- Live batch fees once the batch has commenced
- Workshop fees where cancellation is received within 72 hours of start
- Any downloadable resources, templates, LUTs, presets, or digital assets provided as part of the course
- Certificate issuance fees (if applicable)
- Processing fees or convenience charges levied by Razorpay at time of payment
- Fees for any program where free access, trial, or preview was provided before purchase
Important: Razorpay payment gateway charges (typically 2% + GST) are deducted from the payment at source. In the event of an approved refund, the net amount received by the Academy after gateway deductions will be refunded. The Academy is not responsible for gateway charges.

How to Request a Refund
To initiate a refund request, follow these steps:
Use the subject line: "Refund Request – [Your Name] – [Course Name]"
Your full name, registered email address, Razorpay payment ID or order ID, course name, date of purchase, and reason for refund request.
We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and inform you whether it meets the eligibility criteria under this policy.
Approved refunds are initiated within 5–7 business days of approval confirmation.
Refund Processing Timeline
Once a refund is approved and initiated by us:
- UPI and net banking: Typically credited within 3–5 business days
- Debit cards: Typically credited within 5–7 business days
- Credit cards: Typically reflected in your next billing cycle (7–10 business days)
- Wallets: Typically credited within 1–3 business days
These timelines are indicative and depend on your bank or payment provider. Vande Digital Academy has no control over the processing speed of your bank or financial institution after we initiate the refund.
Refunds are credited only to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. We do not issue refunds via bank transfer, cash, or any other method unless the original payment method is no longer functional.
Failed & Duplicate Payments
Failed payments: If your payment fails but your account is debited, the amount will be automatically reversed by Razorpay to your original payment method within 5–7 business days. If the reversal does not occur, contact us with your Razorpay order ID.
Duplicate payments: If you are charged twice for the same enrollment due to a technical error, the duplicate charge will be fully refunded within 5–7 business days upon verification. Email us immediately with both transaction IDs.
We are not responsible for failed transactions caused by incorrect payment details, bank-side declines, or network issues on your end.
Cancellation or Discontinuation by the Academy
In the rare event that Vande Digital Academy cancels or permanently discontinues a course or live batch after enrollment:
- Enrolled students will be notified via email with at least 7 days' advance notice where possible
- Students will be offered either a full refund or enrollment in an equivalent available course at no additional charge
- If a live batch is temporarily postponed (not cancelled), enrolled students will be transferred to the rescheduled batch or offered a credit note
Vande Digital Academy is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses (such as pre-arranged travel or time loss) arising from course cancellation.
Disputes & Escalation
If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of your refund request, you may escalate the matter by emailing contact@vandedigital.com with the subject line "Refund Escalation – [Your Name]". Senior management will review your case and respond within 5 business days.
If a resolution cannot be reached, you may exercise your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India), including filing a complaint with the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission having jurisdiction in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
Any disputes relating to this policy shall be governed by the laws of India and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
